There’s an incredible groundswell in ecological thinking emerging here in Ireland, and globally right across the spectrum of human endeavour, and I’m inspired to make my own small contribution to it.

I’ll be on the road a lot over the summer at these upcoming events which are all deeply connected by this common ecological theme.

June 19 – Dublin Is The Ecological Crisis also a Spiritual/Philosophical Crisis?
An event that I am co-organising in Dublin bringing David Loy – author of ‘Ecodharma – Buddhist Teachings for the Ecological Crisis‘ – to Ireland. A Green Foundation Ireland event in association with Ecodharma Ireland & Mindfulness Ireland’s Earth Holder Community.

June 21 – 23 – KerryThe Inaugural John Moriarty Festival
I’ll be onstage with Tommy Tiernan and fellow filmmakers Alan Gilsenan and Lorna Hill during the Saturday night event entitled: The Blackbird and the Bell Revisited . As many of you will know the incredible John Moriarty – our greatest ecophilosopher, even if he is not fully recognised as that yet – is the focus of my 2012 award-winning documentary DREAMTIME REVISISTED.

I’ll be presenting SEEDING THE FUTURE at this conference being organised by my colleagues at the WEALL (Wellbeing Economy Alliance) and hosting an Ecological Storytelling Workshop

Sept 20-22 – IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art), DublinEarth Rising Festival
I’ll be presenting an Ecological Storytelling Workshop at this festival aimed at inspiring collective action towards a sustainable future with my colleagues of the WEALL (Wellbeing Economy Alliance).
